Addiction is a continuous condition characterized by compulsive substance use despite the associated harmful effects.
It can take many forms, from alcohol dependence to opioid or stimulant misuse, and often involves changes to brain function that reinforce cravings and risky behavior. Addiction can also be intertwined with mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and trauma, which may both contribute to and result from substance use. This is known as a dual diagnosis.
According to the 2024 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 48.4 million people (16.8%) aged 12 and older had a past year substance use disorder (SUD).
Understanding addiction as a multifaceted condition is essential. Recovery is not simply about stopping use, but about addressing the physical, emotional, and social patterns that support the behavior. Successful treatment requires an integrated approach that combines medical care, behavioral therapy, peer support, and lifestyle interventions.
James Club Recovery provides a nurturing environment designed to help clients regain control of their lives while addressing every component of addiction.
Our facility blends clinical expertise, therapeutic guidance, and holistic practices, including mindfulness, yoga, fitness, and nutrition, to foster balance and resilience.

Participants typically attend various therapies three days a week for a few hours at a time.
We are proud to offer specialized mentoring programs that place clients with experienced guides. Their goal is to help clients make significant strides in recovery while equipping them with real-world strategies that reiterate what they have learned in therapy.
